Alexander P. Cohen

Overview

Alex Cohen is a senior associate attorney in the firm’s Tort and Professional Liability Practice Groups. Mr. Cohen’s tort liability practice is focused on defending businesses and public entities against a variety of liability claims, including personal injury, premises liability, habitability, and wrongful death actions. Mr. Cohen’s professional liability practice involves defending professional malpractice claims against a variety of professionals, including architects, engineers, real estate brokers and agents, insurance agents, and accountants. He also spends a significant portion of his practice representing businesses in a variety of business litigation matters.

Mr. Cohen received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he served as Lead Articles Editor for the San Diego Law Review. During law school, Mr. Cohen served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Janis L. Sammartino of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.  He also served as a legal extern for the Newport Beach City Attorney’s Office, as a law clerk for a securities litigation firm, and as a research assistant. 

Outside of his law practice, Alex enjoys travel, trying new restaurants, and watching sports.
