LBBK is certified as a women owned business (WBE) by the Supplier Clearinghouse for the Utility Supplier Diversity Program of the California Public Utilities Commission and by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council-West in partnership with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms
LBBK is a member of NAMWOLF, a legal organization comprised of AV-rated firms across the nation that represent major corporate clients, including private/public entities. The organization strives to promote diversity in the legal profession. Our attorneys actively participate in the NAMWOLF’s Labor and Employment, and Restaurant, Retail & Hospitality Practice Area Committees; they serve on subcommittees and regularly speak at NAMWOLF conferences and webinars.
California Minority Counsel Program
LBBK is a member of the California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting diversity in the legal profession by providing attorneys of color with access and opportunity for business and professional development. CMCP works with the State Bar of California, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel – America, as well as many local bar associations and professional associations to help achieve diversity and inclusion within law firms and in-house law departments, and in the outside counsel spend of corporations and government agencies.
Diversity Fellowship Program
LBBK proudly participates in the San Diego Diversity Fellowship Program, a joint endeavor of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel, designed to increase the number of diverse attorneys practicing in San Diego County by providing diverse law students with an opportunity to develop their skills and make professional contacts while working in law firms and corporate legal departments.
